The popstar icon Taylor Swift has already made incredible strides in the music industry as she is widely viewed as one of the most popular and vastly influential artists in the world, which has now dubiously translated to the sports world as Swift has become the talking point of the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent success.
One of the most frequently covered stories across the sporting and musical scenes has been the developing relationship between music artist sensation Taylor Swift and the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs’ All-Pro Tight End Travis Kelce.

Heading into the 2024 NFL season, Taylor is still seen at a number of KC games with most of her appearances coming at home matchups, where she is often seen seated in a box alongside Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, as well as members of the Kelce family such as Travis’ mother, Donna, and his older brother, Jason, who recently announced his retirement from the NFL after a stellar career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
So far, the Chiefs have already made their intentions clear for the 2024 season as they aim to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowl’s in NFL history and have started the season off with an undefeated record of five wins after the first five weeks of action.
Their most recent win came in a comprehensive 26-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football, with Swift being one of the many 70,000 plus fans who packed out the always raucous Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs are not only atop of the standings in the AFC, but are also the mainstay favorites to win the Superbowl again this year according to the latest NFL Playoff odds on DraftKings, which has the Chiefs penned in at -20,000 favorites to make the playoffs and +450 outrights to win the Superbowl again this year.
While the Chiefs roster and coaching staff has certainly gained a majority of the much deserved plaudits from fans, opponents and media members alike, there is no denying that Swift has provided her own effect on any game that she attends, whether that being on an individual players performance or on the overall success of the team.
Swift’s first sighting at Arrowhead and other related Chiefs fixtures following her updated relationship status with Travis Kelce came back in Kansas City’s week three matchup against the Chicago Bears in 2023, with KC winning comfortably by a score of 41-10, which even included a touchdown catch by Kelce in the third quarter that seemingly put the game beyond all doubt.
That initial victory over Chicago kick-started a 10-3 streak while the 14-time Grammy winner was in attendance which even included her noticeable appearances at Kansas City’s road trip against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game, as well as the aforementioned Superbowl game in Vegas.
Since the start of this season, Taylor has already been spotted at all three of KC’s opening home fixtures against Baltimore, Cincinnati and New Orleans which have all resulted in crucial wins for the reigning champions, making it fairly clear that she certainly brings a much-needed good luck charm that has further helped the team reach the pinnacle of the sport.
Alongside her impressive winning record while attending games, Swift’s continuous involvement with the Chiefs (and of course her relationship with one of the NFL’s most distinguished players) has helped further promote the NFL brand to a wider audience.
This has been dubiously merited with the increase in figures who regularly watch Chiefs games, no matter if they are on primetime or regular hours, as more fans are eager to catch a glimpse of one of the world’s most celebrated stars.
Last season’s TV ratings saw an increase of more than seven percent with two of the most popular Sunday Night Football Games being widely watched because of Swift’s attendance.
