Angelina Jolie: A Look Into The Life Of The Actress, Mother, And Humanitarian 

Angelina Jolie entered the limelight in 1982 as a child actor alongside her father, and since then, she has come a long way. From a young, talented actress to a mother and now humanitarian, Jolie has had a full life. Let’s look into her journey down this path. 

The humanitarian 

Jolie has worked as a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for about ten years. The actress was actively involved in advocating for the rights of these refugees and their protection. Whether they needed a civil rights lawyer Sacramento or basic support, the actress was at the forefront. During her time with this organization, she conducted more than 60 field missions to multiple countries. 

Besides walking with the United Nations, Julie also provided local support for people. For example, she worked with the Mutual Aid Sudan coalition to help provide funding to locals in Sudan. In 2024, the actress also got involved with the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, lending her voice to help create awareness for the people.

We cannot talk about her humanitarian efforts without mentioning her efforts in creating charitable organizations. These organizations provide legal aid to asylum seekers as well as children in the United States. She didn’t stop there but also extended advocacy to film, where she uses movies to bring awareness to the suffering of women during war.

The mother

Jolie has one of the biggest families in Hollywood with her eldest child Maddox being 24 years old. The actress started out adopting children from different parts of the world to create a perfectly blended family. She adopted Maddox, Pax, and Zahara from Africa and Asia and then gave birth to Shiloh For her then-husband Brad Pitt.

Later, in 2008, the actress gave birth to a set of twins called Knox and Viviann, who are now 17 years old. Despite being exposed to the limelight so early in her life, Jolie tends to keep our children away from the private eye, so allow them to have a private childhood. Over the years some have questioned her decision to allow her child Shiloh to dress as a boy. But the rumors and judgments died down when Shiloh returned to dressing like a girl after several years.

Sadly, the actress got divorced from her husband, Brad Pitt, on allegations of domestic violence. Since then, most of her children have either changed their name or distanced themselves from Brad Pitt, their father.

The actress 

Jolie did not get her big break until 1997, when she won a Golden Globe award for being the best actress in a television film. After this award, more awards came ruling in as she won another Academy Award in 1999, but it was for a supporting role. In 2001, she cemented her place in Hollywood with her role in Lara Croft’s Tomb Raider. She later starred in the popular Mr. and Mrs. Smith movie, where she met her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. Since then, she has been known for her role in Maleficent and other humanitarian and biography movies.
